Welcome to my edition of Back Roads Notes.

I've always believed that good music tells a story. Whether it's blues, rock, or country, the songs that stay with us are the ones that remind us of places we've been and people we've known.

This past Friday, I released a new song called "Back Roads and Good Times."

If you've followed my music for a while, you know me as a Blues-Rock artist. But every now and then, a song comes along that wants to go somewhere different. This one took me down the country road.

It's a song about slowing down, taking the scenic route, and appreciating the simple things—back roads, old friends, small towns, and the memories we make along the way. Sometimes the best destinations aren't found on the highway.

I hope you'll take a few minutes to give it a listen. If it brings back a memory of your own favorite back road, a summer drive, or a place that still feels like home, then I've accomplished exactly what I hoped this song would do.

One of the things I enjoy most about songwriting is that every guitar seems to pull a different story out of me. Some songs begin with a blues riff. Others start with a country rhythm. I never know where the next idea will come from, and that's part of the fun.
